Marma Massage

A traditional Ayurvedic massage focused on marma points, vital energy centers where muscles , blood vessels, ligaments, bones, and joints meet. These points are considered sacred in Ayurveda, as they hold and channel the body’s vital life force energy (prana).
By gently stimulating these points, Marma Massage works through subtle energy channels (nadis) to release blockages, restore balance, and support deep healing on a physical, emotional, and energetic level.

Why Steam After Massage?
While an oil massage relaxes the muscles, adding steam acts as a catalyst, pushing the benefits of the treatment to a deeper level. In Ayurveda, we believe the head and eyes must remain cool to protect the nervous system and prevent dizziness. This allows your body to sweat out toxins at deep temperatures while your mind stays clear, refreshed, and perfectly balanced.

1. Enhanced Oil Absorption
Heat from the steam opens up the skin’s pores. This allows the therapeutic oils used during the massage to penetrate deeper into the dermis rather than just sitting on the surface.

Result: Intensely hydrated, glowing skin and better delivery of herbal or essential oil nutrients.

2. Deep Muscle Relaxation
The combination of massage and moist heat is a powerhouse for tension. Steam helps to further vasodilation (widening of blood vessels), which increases blood flow to sore muscles.

Result: Faster recovery from muscle stiffness and a significant reduction in physical stress.

3. Effective Detoxification
As the body temperature rises slightly during steam, it triggers a healthy sweat. This process helps flush out toxins and metabolic waste that were released from the tissues during the massage.

Result: A “total body reset” feeling and improved lymphatic drainage.

4. Respiratory & Mental Clarity
If you use aromatics in your steam, it doubles as a respiratory treatment. The warm air clears the sinuses and promotes deep, rhythmic breathing.

Result: A transition from physical relaxation to a meditative, “zen” mental state.
